Current Events
The 28th Annual Youth Heritage Oratorical Scholarship
Contest will occur on Saturday, October 18th 2008 at the Ybor City
campus of Hillsborough Community College. This oratorical event
provides a public forum for students and is an fundamental part of
the bay area’s well attended Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Leadership Breakfast.
The
event is open to high school students in grades 9 – 12 in surrounding
counties in the Tampa Bay Area.
The theme for 2008 is: As a young person,
how do you address the trend of Anti-Academic Achievement in
African-American Youth?
If you wish to enter the contest, fill out
one of the forms below.
