Tampa Organization of Black Affairs is an organization that was founded in 1979 has sponsored activities that demonstrate its ability and willingness to serve Tampa’s businesses, government and communities.

A father of two children (Jonathan and Gianna) and a member of Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, the Tampa native and Leto High School graduate is involved with several professional, civic, community and social organizations. These include the Mayor’s African American Advisory Council, the North Hyde Park Civic Association, the Florida Morticians Association, the Tampa Bay Male Club, and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Mr. Rhodes has been honored for his community and professional service by receiving awards such as the Outstanding Businessman Award by the North Hyde Park Civic Association, the 2001 Mortician of the Year Award from the Second Regional District Florida Morticians Association, and the Better Business Award from Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

Mr. Rhodes received a degree in funeral service education at Miami-Dade Community College, and is currently attending Saint Leo University double majoring in Political Science and Business Management. He is a co-owner and licensed funeral director of Ray Williams Funeral Home, Inc.
